About the Race

Just so you know, this is a SOLO race where the clock runs non-stop.  To complete the Route, I have to supply my own food / equipment, rent rooms, launder my clothing, even service my bike at commercial shops along the way. The intent is to ride unsupported between towns, and function self-supported when in towns. Any services I utilize must always be commercially available to all challengers and not prearranged. No private resupply, no private lodging.

The Route66 race requires that every challenger has an equal playing field. Therefore, outside assistance with navigation, lodging or resupply (especially receipt of supplies from a non-commercial shipper) is prohibited.

Visitation: This Race is intended as SOLO Journey. Please honor the ideal that Visitation from family and friends along the route can be an emotional uplifting advantage over other racers that are unable to have the same opportunity. If a visitation does occur with a family member or friend along the route they can in no way provide material support/supplies or shelter.
